Hawaii Property Management Privacy Policy

Hawaii Property Management is a Chrome extension that helps users review Hawaii rental listings for common scam signals, tenant-rights references, local checks, and HiCoastal links.

Data Handling

This version does not transmit, sell, or share personal information with Hawaii Coastal Property Management or any third-party service.

The extension reads visible text, page title, URL, and source host from supported rental pages in the user's browser so it can generate a local scan result. Users may also paste listing text, messages, or lease excerpts into the popup for local analysis. That analysis happens locally. Listing text, pasted text, URLs, saved scans, and settings are not sent to Hawaii Coastal Property Management, a third-party server, or an analytics service.

Stored Data

The extension stores extension settings and saved listing scan summaries if the user chooses to save a scan. This data is stored in Chrome extension storage associated with the user's browser profile. Users can clear saved scans from the extension popup or options page.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use Disclosure

Hawaii Property Management uses website content, page URL information, and user-provided listing text only to provide the extension's single purpose: helping renters review Hawaii rental listings through local scam-signal checks, tenant-rights references, saved scan summaries, and official lookup links.

The extension does not transfer this data to others, except for normal browser navigation when a user deliberately clicks an external link. The extension does not use user data for personalized advertising, retargeting, interest-based advertising, sale, or marketing profiling. Because scan data is stored locally in the user's browser profile, Hawaii Coastal Property Management employees and contractors do not have access to read it.

Third-Party Links

The extension includes links to official Hawaii resources, hazard lookup tools, property records, and HiCoastal pages. Those sites have their own privacy policies and may receive normal browser request information when opened by the user.
